Your New Guest Experience- What to expect at your very first visit
Here's how your visit unfolds
1. Welcome & getting settled Come on in and get comfortable in our cozy lobby. I'll come out to greet you, bring you into my studio, and get you comfortable before anything else happens. No rushing — this is your time.
2. In-depth consultation This is the heart of your first visit. We'll have a real, unhurried conversation about your hair — where it's been, where you want it to go, what's worked and what hasn't. We'll talk through your lifestyle, your styling routine, and what you love (and don't love) about your hair right now. (Inspiration photos can be uploaded when booking your appointment or bring them along)
3. Shampoo & condition Settle in for a relaxing shampoo and condition using premium products chosen for your hair type. This is also when I get a hands-on look at your scalp health, texture, and what your hair truly needs.
4. Your custom haircut A cut designed around your face shape, hair texture, growth patterns, and how you actually live your life. Every decision we make is intentional and tailored to you .
5. Blow-dry style We finish with a blow-dry style and any tips & tricks that may help you when styling at home.
6. Product chat & next steps Before you head out, we'll talk through the products that will actually work for your hair — no overwhelming you, just the honest essentials. We'll also map out a plan for keeping your hair healthy and happy between visits.

I've found that the more time we spend getting to know each other at the start, the better everything goes from that point on. It's not just about the cut or the color. Before you arrive — a few good things to know
Come as you are. Wear your hair how you normally style it so I can see your natural texture and what you're working with day to day.
Block out a little extra time. This appointment is longer by design. Plan for a relaxed, unhurried visit.
For guests aged 12 & up. All Shortcuts services are available for guests aged 12 and older.

So you've decided to give Shortcuts a try — and I'm so glad you did. Your first appointment is a little longer than a regular visit, and that's completely intentional. This time together is just for us: to get to know each other, your hair, and what you're your hair goals are. Think of it less like a typical salon visit and more like a really good conversation that just happens to end with amazing hair.
Why is this appointment longer?
Great hair starts with a real conversation. This extended visit gives us the space to go slow, talk through everything, and make sure we're completely on the same page before I even pick up the scissors. It's the foundation for every great appointment after this one — and trust me, it's worth it.
